Frascatore was saying he did not expect a suspension after he hit Scott Spiezio Tuesday with a pitch that touched off another one of those mild bench-clearing brawls baseball is famous. Frascatore was bothered by the fact that anyone believed he would throw at an opponent. "If I was throwing at him I would have hit him in the ear hole," Frascatore said. "I was throwing inside. I don't believe in throwing at people. There's a huge difference."

Frascatore hit Scott Spiezio with a pitch after being raked for five hits and four runs while getting just one out Tuesday. Frascatore walked towards Spiezio, then threw his glove on the ground and made a come-get-me motion as the benches cleared. Frascatore was ejected immediately, as was Raul Mondesi in the bottom of the ninth for arguing with home plate umpire Al Clark.
