The Mets have sold Koo's contract to the Hanwha Eagles in Korea, the Mets' official website reports.
ANALYSIS
This is not a big surprise as Koo wasn't very effective in most of his 33 appearances with the team last season.

2005 Fantasy Outlook
Koo, a Korean who's pitched in Japan for the last four seasons, signed with the Mets this offseason. A 35-year-old lefty, he went 6-8, with a 4.32 ERA in 18 starts for Orix in 2004, with a 1.28 WHIP and 99/44 K/BB ratio in 116.2 IP. He allowed 24 HR, however, which is a lot for a workload of that size. He'll likely wind up in a swingman or long-relief role, which will limit his roto impact.

Koo's on-field performance might have merited a demotion anyway, but he angered teammates and earned a ticket to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday by telling coaches he was available to pitch before the game, then declining to warm up once the call came to the bullpen, according to team insiders, the NY Daily News reports.
