The deal was completed one day after Mann exercised an opt-out clause in his contract with the Yankees to obtain his release. The 29-year-old, who was a member of Nashville's bullpen for the majority of last season, has spent the entire 2004 season with Triple-A Columbus in the International League, where he went 3-1 with a 5.97 ERA. At this point, Mann is strictly a depth guy for the organization and he has little hope of making a fantasy impact in the bigs.
