"Unless he goes out and does something really stupid, like get hurt or fall apart, he should make our team," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire told the Minneapolis Star Tribune. "And I don't expect him to do anything stupid."

2005

Fiore had a surprisingly successful 2004 with Triple-A Ottawa. With the Orioles� lack of quality right-handed options out of the bullpen, Fiore could get a look during spring training, but most likely will remain in the minors in 2005.

2003

Fiore was a surprise in 2002 going from the last man in the bullpen to a strong long reliever. A true junk ball pitcher, Fiore won't overpower anyone. However his sinker confounded the league all season. But since he's not overpowering, and doesn't have great control, he's not a good bet to repeat his numbers. Another worry: he was left off the Twins ALCS roster and will struggle to find a significant role next season if everyone is healthy.
