2013
There was no outlook written for Matt Ginter.
2005
Ginter bounced up and down between the majors and Triple-A before bone chips in his ankle ended his season. With the Mets rotation probably set and the fact that he would need to be added to the 40-man roster to make the team, the likelihood is that Ginter has pitched his final game for the Mets.
2004
He pitched well out of the Triple-A bullpen, but everything except his ERA was up in the majors. Ginter is probably looking at one more season as the 12th man on an 11-man staff.
2003
Ginter filled out the back of the bullpen reasonably well in 2002, but with some young arms coming up through the White Sox system, he will be hard-pressed to hang onto his spot. The Sox have made noises that they think he has the stuff to be a closer, but if Ginter's closer material, then just about anybody is. Of course if the team really understood that point, they would never have traded for Billy Koch.
