RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Mike Crudale.
Crudale was traded to the Brewers late in 2003 and worked in middle relief. It's doubtful that Crudale will get a shot at closing early on, but watch for him in case Dan Kolb falters.
Crudale pitched very well for the Cardinals last season, posting a K/BB ratio of 47/14 in 52 2/3 IP, an ERA of 1.88 and a WHIP of .108. At 26, Crudale isn't considered much of a prospect, but given his minor league numbers and his 2002 season, he could turn out to be a very serviceable middle reliever in 2003.
