2005
Nance missed most of last season rehabbing from an elbow injury, then suffered a mild knee injury in September that required surgery to repair torn cartilage. He'll be fine come spring training, where he'll compete for a situational lefty role in the pen.
2004
The D-Backs will look at Nance's 2003 Triple-A stats and hope that's indicative of his potential. He'll get a chance to replace Mike Myers as the situational lefty in Arizona's bullpen.
2003
Nance was called up late in the season and tore a bicep muscle. He's a lefty specialist out of the bullpen who could make a few spot starts. Depending on how he recovers from surgery, he could end up in the Brewer bullpen or in Triple-A.
