RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2014

There was no outlook written for Matt Watson.

2006

Watson shuttled back and forth from Triple-A to the majors as an injury fill-in, which can be a tough role to fill. His numbers at Triple-A Sacramento (.315/.404/.516) should place him ahead of Charles Thomas if the A's enter spring training still needing a reserve outfielder.

2005

Watson had a solid year at Triple-A Sacramento after being claimed off waivers from the Mets in October 2003. A gap hitter with developing power, he's the type of outfielder teams like to have at Triple-A as a short-term injury fill-in.

2004

A waiver snag from the Mets in October, Watson figures to spend most of the year in Triple-A. He projects as an eventual reserve outfielder.
