Past Fantasy Outlooks
2007
2006
2005
Aguila once again couldn't stick in the Marlins outfield despite weak competition, and has probably used up his last chance with the organization. A fresh start could be what he needs to claim a spot as a fourth outfielder in the majors.
Aguila is your standard issue fourth outfielder, capable of putting up good numbers at Triple-A but no more than serviceable in the majors. The mass exodus from South Florida might give him an opportunity to win a starting job with the Marlins this spring, but don't be fooled by his inflated batting averages at Albuquerque -- he's not a .300 hitter.
Aguila, who'll be 26 by Opening Day, inherits the fourth OF role for the Marlins, although he should have a better chance at playing time than Abraham Nunez did last year. Aguila's as good as he's going to get, so if he gets a shot at regular action he could put up decent numbers.
