2008
Cali won a spot in the Minnesota bullpen as a lefty set-up man after Dennys Reyes and Glen Perkins got hurt. Cali doesn't strike out enough batters or have sufficient control to think he'll end his journeyman ways at age 29 and stay in the majors. He'll try to win a spot in the bullpen this spring and his upside is only as a lefty specialist.
2006
It was a down year for Cali in 2005 both at Triple-A Memphis and in his brief stints with the Cardinals. He has a mid-90s fastball but will likely find himself in Memphis again because he lacks control and a solid breaking pitch.
2005
After a fine season in the minors at both Double-A and Triple-A, Cali was a disaster during his September stint in the majors in 2004. He kept it up in the Arizona Fall League with a 6.07 ERA in 15 games. With Rick Ankiel and Ray King ahead of him on the lefty food chain, Cali looks headed back to Triple-A Memphis. Cali knows how to be patient. He spent four years in Single-A.
