2013
There was no outlook written for Freddy Sandoval.
2010
Perhaps the heir to Robb Quinlan's job, Sandoval sprays line drives and can almost play third base. As a switch-hitter with a little speed, he should make a useful bench player, and could have some years where he hits .310 as a semi-regular. The shaky defense limits his playing time and the lack of power limits his fantasy value, so tread lightly.
2009
Sandoval became one of Triple-A Salt Lake's biggest offensive weapons last season, finishing the year with a .335 batting average while hitting 15 home runs and knocking in 88 runs. The Angels' infield is a little crowded, so Sandoval will likely begin next season with Salt Lake. Time isn't on his side, having turned 26 in August. His Triple-A numbers should be taken in the context that he was old for the level, while playing in one of the most friendly hitter parks in the minors.
