2010

Sammons showed some power with nine home runs at Triple-A last season, but any time he'll spend in the majors will strictly be for his glove in a backup role.

2009

While Sammons can draw some walks, he's strictly a defensive catcher and his bat will keep him from ever holding down a backup role in the majors.

2008

Sammons is a strong defensive catcher and has a decent eye at the plate, but he likely lacks the power needed to become a regular in the majors. Plus, his path is blocked with the Braves set at catcher for years with Brian McCann. He could win the backup job this spring, but he won't be an asset to fantasy teams with his bat.
