2013
There was no outlook written for Justin Berg.
2011
Berg kept the ball on the ground last year, but that's about the only good thing one can say about his performance. He walked 20 batters in 40 innings, and struck out just 14. He was a little more effective at Triple-A, but you can chalk that up to a .249 BABIP there. He'll compete for a middle relief role, but has almost no upside of which to speak.
2010
Berg got the job done in middle relief for Triple-A Iowa despite an unsightly K:BB ratio by keeping the ball on the ground. He allowed just two homers in 55.2 IP, but also benefited from some BABIP luck (.242). He'll vie for a relief role this spring, but even if he makes the team his ceiling is limited.
