RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2014

There was no outlook written for Oswaldo Navarro.

2007

Navarro has an outstanding glove and range and can play both shortstop and second base, but he needs to improve at the plate. He didn't take kindly to the jump from Double-A to Triple-A last year—his batting average and OBP both dropped. The Mariners thinned out the middle infield competition through re-positioning and trades so Navarro is the best fielder of the remaining prospects.

2006

Navarro is one of the Seattle system's top middle-infielder prospects. He is an above-average fielder, but his bat is still developing and he is several years away. The Mariners thought enough of him, though, to add him to the 40-man roster in the offseason.
