2013
There was no outlook written for Wyatt Toregas.
2010
Toregas didn't build on the half season of success from his 2008 campaign at Double-A, struggling to a .284/.336/.433 line as a 26-year-old in his second extended look at Triple-A pitching. He did get a callup following the trade of Victor Martinez, hitting .176 in 19 games with Cleveland. Is there any wonder why the Indians are looking forward to the arrival of Carlos Santana? With Kelly Shoppach now in Tampa Bay, Toregas will battle Lou Marson and Chris Gimenez for early season at-bats until Santana is ready.
2009
Toregas regained some of the shine on his prospect status with a .296/.371/.574 line at Double-A to start the season before earning a promotion to Triple-A. It was his first decent stretch since his High-A debut back in 2006 but he stumbled at Triple-A, hitting just .219 in 155 at-bats. Time is running out for the 26-year old so he'll need to hit the ground running at Triple-A this season.
