RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2014

There was no outlook written for Jeff Bailey.

2009

Bailey spent most of the time in Triple-A Pawtucket, but filled in at Boston when injuries hit David Ortiz, Kevin Youkilis and Mike Lowell. He's got some power, makes contact and has good plate discipline, but he plays for a team with deep pockets that can afford better players at his position. He's no longer a prospect at age 30, but could be a versatile backup at first base and corner outfield for the Red Sox.
