2011
At age 27, Marek is too old to be a top prospect and his minor league track record shows too much wildness, but he may have turned the corner in 2010 to where he can be a productive member of the Atlanta bullpen as early as 2011. Marek has a mid-90s fastball , but didn't have impressive strikeout rates until last season. He stuck out over 10 batters per nine innings at Triple-A with a 56:19 K:BB ratio. He'll likely begin the season at Triple-A, but could be called up to help the big league bullpen next summer.
