RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2013

There was no outlook written for Robert Delaney.

2011

Delaney will be 26 next season and never seemed to get much of a chance to win a major league role with the Twins despite strong strikeout and control rates in the minors. While he had a 4.72 ERA last season at Triple-A, he had a 92:23 K:BB ratio. Of course, he did allow 12 home runs. Still, his strikeout and control numbers indicate he could win a role in the Tampa Bay bullpen this spring after being claimed off waivers from the Twins.

2010

While Delaney has been a bit old for his competition (he'll turn 26 next season), he's shown strong control and strikeout numbers, although his numbers did fall off in his first exposure to Triple-A. He had a 4.53 ERA and 38:15 K:BB ratio in 47.2 innings with seven saves after he was promoted to Triple-A in June and took over as Rochester's closer. He could be a factor in Minnesota's bullpen at some point in 2010.
