2008
The Giants drafted Fairley with the No. 29 overall pick out of high school. One of the best athletes in the class, Fairley is raw as a hitter and will need plenty of time to develop. The Giants do not have a good track record with similar prospects. He's got great tools but doesn't have a sound feel for hitting at this point. He's at least a few years away from reaching the majors.
