2012
Carignan was limited to 33 appearances after a delayed start to the year as he recovered from oblique and elbow woes. His control continues to be an issue, with 14 walks in 29 innings between Triple-A Sacramento and a stint in the Arizona Fall League. He fanned 35 over that same stretch, showcasing some bat-missing ability, but there are plenty of other arms in the A's bullpen with far fewer question marks. He's unlikely to surface until September barring significant strides with his control.
