1BToronto Blue Jays
July 15, 2013
Jacobo is 6-for-12 with two home runs and two doubles since earning a promotion to Double-A New Hampshire.
ANALYSIS
Jacobo was previously slashing .278/.346/.438 at High-A Dunedin, and while his fast start in New Hampshire is encouraging, he still isn't one of the Blue Jays' more highly touted prospects. Jacobo has hit pretty well at every minor league stop in his career, with the exception of 2011 when he struggled to the tune of a .270/.309/.419 batting line over 367 plate appearances with the Angels' Double-A affiliate in Arkansas. He is already 26 years old, and thus appears to have limited upside.
