Bobby Wahl

Milwaukee acquired Wahl and two others from the Mets in exchange for Keon Broxton prior to the 2019 season, though the right-hander was unable to debut for his new team after suffering a torn ACL in spring training. Wahl has been plagued by injuries throughout his career, but when healthy, the hard-throwing reliever has flashed high-leverage upside thanks to his fastball/slider combination, which helped him whiff 42.7% of the batters he faced at Triple-A in 2018 (45 innings). He's struggled with command and control throughout his career -- as evidenced by his 4.1 BB/9 across six minor-league seasons -- which is something he'll need to figure out if he wants to develop into a reliable back-end bullpen arm. Wahl is on track for a normal offseason and should enter spring training with the inside track for a spot in Milwaukee's Opening Day bullpen.
