Adam Brett Walker

Walker packs tremendous raw power as evidenced by his 124 home runs in 584 career games in the minors. However, he sells out for that power -- he's struck out nearly 400 times over the past two seasons (202 times in 2016). The Brewers claimed Walker off waivers after new Twins management was concerned by his lack of contact, and he was scooped up by the Orioles after Milwaukee exposed him to waivers soon thereafter. If he can learn to put the ball in play more often, he could get a trial in the majors and offer upside for home runs. Walker may be forced to return to Triple-A to begin his age-25 campaign after he spent the entire 2016 season at that level. If he can work his way to the 25-man roster, there is a very good chance he will begin on the small side of a platoon after hitting southpaws at a .264/.333/.552 clip during his time at Rochester.
