Vernon Wells Contract Information:

Signed a five-year, $14.7 million deal in March, 2003. Specifically, Wells received a signing bonus of $850,000, and he will earn $350,000 in 2003, $700,000 in 2004, $2,900,000 in 2005, $4,300,000 in 2006, and $5,600,000 in 2007. Wells agreed to a $126 million, seven-year contract extension in Dec. of 2006, good through 2014, the sixth-largest deal in baseball history.
