Past Fantasy Outlooks
2004
2003
The speed merchant returns to the Padres on a minor league deal after a failed attempt with the Tigers as the starting center fielder. He doesn't have the power or eye at the plate to be considered a regular, but his range in the outfield and speed on the base paths make him an excellent candidate for an NL reserve role.
Coming over in the Mike Rivera trade, Kingsale will battle Andres Torres for the center-field job, and, perhaps, the leadoff spot in the order. Kingsale is probably worth the higher bid right now, based on his decent trial with the Padres in the second half of last year. He's a nice little sleeper for AL-only leagues.
