Brad Salmon

Salmon posted decent if not overwhelming numbers in relief at Triple-A Louisville in a repeat engagement there - we expected a little bit better, at least in terms of the strikeout rate. Again, his season demonstrates the difficulty in evaluating relief prospects. In most cases, we'd much rather see a pitcher developed as a starter in the minors and then converted to relief work, to give him more innings to develop his secondary pitches and his ability to work the hitters in general.
