ANALYSIS
Todd had a solid 2.15 ERA and 1.05 WHIP over 39 relief appearances with Triple-A Toledo in 2013. He'll mostly provide organizational depth, but has a slight chance to see time in the big leagues if the right situation presents itself.

Todd made a few appearances last season for the Indians but spent most of the year at Triple-A Columbus, striking out 53 batters in 49 innings pitched. It was a definite step back from his 2009 effort at Triple-A Memphis with the Cardinals, but he'll have an outside chance to earn a bullpen spot in the spring. He's been awfully hittable (7.62 ERA, 1.941 WHIP) in two short stints in the majors the last two years, however.
Todd got hammered as an Indian (1.925 WHIP, 7.66 ERA in 22.1 innings of "relief") but had enough success at Triple-A Memphis while in the St. Louis organization (1.061 WHIP, 2.20 ERA, 10.8 K/9 in 49 innings) to warrant another look. He's cheap and possibly somewhat effective so he'll likely land a role in the bullpen out of spring training. He was pitching in the New York-Penn league just three years ago so last year's stint with the Indians may have just been a case of too much, too soon.
Todd, the St. Louis minor league pitcher of the year, excelled at three levels in 2008, though his final stop at Triple-A Memphis didn't go as well as his first two stops. All told, he pitched 153 innings, sporting a 2.88 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and a nifty 136:42 K:BB ratio. He turns 23 in April, and should be competing for a rotation spot by 2010.
