Closer Watch - A closer look at intriguing ninth-inning situations (also check out our Closer Grid)

Rockies - Both Matt Lindstrom and Huston Street are battling minor injuries, which could leave the Rockies' late-game situation fairly messy over the next few days. Rafael Betancourt could poach a save should the situation arise in Cincinnati.

Mets - Jason Isringhausen wound up with the win Monday, a night after Bobby Parnell suffered a loss, neither of which was a save scenario. No one on this club has notched a save since July 29.

Recommended Pickup

Jose Constanza, OF, ATL - It's not often that a career-minor leaguer displaces a guy who posted a .849 OPS as a 20-year-old, but such is the case in Atlanta, where Constanza currently has the edge over Jayson Heyward. He rode an eight-game hitting streak into Tuesday's contest, over which he hit .500. That's right, he had 15 hits (three for extra-bases) over 30 at-bats heading into his 11th consecutive start. His OBP was over .360 for each of his last three MiLB seasons, and he has averaged just a touch over 30 steals over his seven-year career. He probably won't be able to fend off Heyward for long, but Constanza should help your team in the short-term, and he could inch into more playing time if Martin Prado's services are needed in the infield.

Other recent recommendations: James Darnell, Johnny Giavotella, Trayvon Robinson, Ivan Nova, Brett Lawrie
