Recommended Pickup

Andrew Cashner, SP, SD -- The Padres appear to be transitioning Cashner into their starting rotation and while using him for a three-inning outing against the Brewers on Saturday is not worthwhile, picking him up now for a couple of weeks down the road could be a nice investment. Although his walk rate has been an issue both as a starter and reliever in the big leagues, Cashner works in the mid-90s with his fastball even in a multi-inning situations and offers considerable upside with his high strikeout rate.
