The Astros recalled Abad from Triple-A Oklahoma City and started him against the Mets on Saturday. Abad held the Mets to one run over four innings despite giving up four hits and four walks in his first major-league start after making 81 relief appearances in the big leagues. He was recently shifted to starting from relieving; making three starts in the minors before getting the promotion. Abad has a decent fastball, change up and breaking ball and could remain as the Astros' fifth starter, assuming they don't sign Roger Clemens.
