Closer Watch
Reds – Aroldis Chapman is suffering from dead arm, so the Reds are filling in for him by committee for a short time. On Wednesday, it was J.J. Hoover collecting his first big-league save with a clean ninth, but generally, expect them to run Jonathan Broxton out there. Broxton had pitched three of the last four games, including collecting the save on Tuesday.
Athletics – Ryan Cook took over the closing gig for the A's in June, but was displaced in August by original closer Grant Balfour. Well, things may be going the other way again – Balfour has given up runs in three of his last five outings, and Cook collected the save Wednesday after Sean Doolittle couldn't nail it down.
Diamondbacks – With J.J. Putz (back) unavailable, David Hernandez nailed down his fourth save on Wednesday. Putz is improving, though, so this is a short-term situation.
Padres – Luke Gregerson picked up his seventh save Wednesday, but the Padres are slated to make a decision Friday on the activation of Huston Street. Keep an eye out for that news if you're invested in either reliever.
Nationals – Drew Storen collected his second save of the season Wednesday against the Mets, but Tyler Clippard had pitched four of the last five days. Storen may be getting gradually eased back into the role, but no official change has been made.

Recommended Pickup
Logan Forsythe, 2B, SD – After a nice little start upon his promotion in July, Forsythe hit the skids for a while, but he's emerged lately with a huge run over his last 14 games, going 21-for-53 (.396) with two homers, two steals, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored. Those numbers will certainly play, especially in leagues that use a MI slot. Eligible at second and third base in many fantasy leagues, Forsythe looks to be a useful fill-in down the stretch.
Other Recent Recommendations: Andy Pettitte, Donovan Solano, Andrelton Simmons, Chris Parmelee, DeWayne Wise
