Closer Watch
Cubs – Kevin Gregg finally blew a save chance Saturday by allowing one run in the ninth. Blake Parker ended up with the save in extra innings. The job is save with Gregg, who came back and earned his 13th save Sunday. However, if Gregg is traded Parker could figure in the closer's role.

Dodgers – Kenley Jansen blew a save opportunity by allowing one run but earned the win Saturday. Jansen has earned a longer leash than one blown save, so the job is save at this point.

Indians – Chris Perez returned Friday and earned a save Saturday.

Red Sox – Koji Uehara had converted his first three save opportunities without incident and had allowed just two baserunners in his last nine outings, but he slipped Sunday and blew a save by allowing a solo home run to Jose Bautista. There is no reason to hit the panic button on Uehara at this time.

Recommended Pickup
Tony Cingrani, P, CIN – With Johnny Cueto back on the shelf, Cingrani will return to the rotation this week. Cingrani relieved Cueto and had trouble with his location, walking six in four innings and walking in two runs. In general, walks are not an issue for Cingrani, who has 57 strikeouts and 17 walks in 47.1 innings this season.
