DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Team Analysis

Defense to Avoid:
Indiana Pacers
at Washington Wizards
The Pacers are second in the NBA with 98.1 points allowed per 100 possessions and 13th in pace with 96.3 possessions per game. Their defense is built in large part on their strong wing defenders, such as Paul George, which matches up well with the perimeter offensive strengths of the Wizards.

Offenses to Use:
Indiana Pacers
at Washington Wizards
Different question, same answer. The Wizards give up 105.7 points per 100 possessions and play at a fast pace (99.6 possessions per game, third-fastest in NBA). Plus, the weakness of the Wizards' defense is their small forward defense, which is 27th in the NBA in defending the position, which lines up well with the strength of the Pacers' offense, Paul George.

Teams on Back-to-Backs:
First game: Thunder, Suns
Second game: Hawks, Celtics, Mavericks, Clippers, Grizzlies, Wizards

Point Guard
Deron Williams, DAL at MEM ($5,800):
Williams is slowly ramping up to his potential in Dallas and has been playing particularly well of late. In his last three games he has averaged 19.7 points, 6.7 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 2.7 treys and 2.0 steals per game and now faces a Grizzlies team that is 18th in the NBA in fantasy points allowed to opposing point guards.

Other suggestions:Chris Paul, LAC at DEN ($8,500), Emmanuel Mudiay, DEN vs. LAC ($5,900)

Shooting Guard
Avery Bradley, BOS at ATL ($5,000):
Jordan Clarkson ($5,200) was also under heavy consideration because he had a better match-up (at Golden State, who is 24th in fantasy points allowed to opposing shooting guards), but ultimately Bradley is the choice because he's been playing better. Bradley is still starting at shooting guard with Marcus Smart (knee) injured, and he is coming off a four-game stretch when he has averaged 21.8 points, 3.8 treys, 3.5 boards, 2.3 steals, and 1.5 assists per game.

Other suggestions:Jimmy Butler, CHI at POR ($8,100), Jordan Clarkson, LAL at GSW ($5,200)

Small Forward
Paul George, IND at WAS ($9,900):
George is the highest-priced option at the position Tuesday, but he's worth the money. He has scored at least 43 fantasy points in nine straight games and is facing a Wizards defense that allows the third-most fantasy points to opposing small forwards.

Other suggestions:Al-Farouq Aminu, POR vs. CHI ($6,400); Harrison Barnes, GSW vs. LAL ($5,600)

Power Forward
Paul Millsap, ATL vs BOS ($8,200):
Millsap has the best matchup of any healthy power forward averaging more than 25 fantasy points per game, facing a Celtics defense that doesn't have a lot of interior size and allows the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing fours.

Other suggestions:Blake Griffin, LAC at DEN ($9,400), Darrell Arthur, DEN vs. LAC ($3,500)

Center
Mason Plumlee, POR vs. CHI ($5,700):
Plumlee has been playing well since Meyers Leonard went out with a shoulder injury, averaging 36.9 fantasy points per game over his last three, which came against the Clippers, Rockets and Lakers. He next a faces Bulls defense that is surprisingly terrible, ranking dead last in the NBA in fantasy points allowed to opposing centers.

Other suggestions:Jared Sullinger, BOS at ATL ($6,300), Al Horford, ATL vs. BOS ($6,900)
