PITCHER
Jose Quintana, CWS vs. KC ($10,800): Quintana has been superb all season, as evidenced by his 0.99 WHIP and 1.54 ERA. He's gone over 20 fantasy points in five of eight starts, and has tallied no fewer than 17.3 in any of his trips to the mound this season. He's been nearly unhittable at home, recording a 3-0 record and 0.82 ERA, while holding opponents to a .187 average. The Royals have also struggled mightily against southpaws, posting a .293 wOBA that ranks as the sixth-lowest in the majors against that handedness.
Aaron Nola, PHI vs. ATL ($11,000): Nola's priced jumped up $1,500 after his last start, but he could well be worth it based on matchup. The Braves' .285 wOBA against right-handed pitching ranks them next-to-last in the majors, and their 15 homers render them the most power-challenged squad in baseball by far. Nola has totaled at least 32 fantasy points in two of his last three starts, and 22.2 to 28.2 in four other starts this season. He also sports a 9.85 K/9 rate and has struck out nine hitters twice in 2016, including in his last start versus the Reds.
CATCHER
Juan Centeno, MIN vs. TOR ($2,000): In order to fit in a couple of high-end pitchers, you sometimes have to punt somewhere else. Centeno is bare minimum, but he has actually shown a little bit of pop over a very limited sample. He had three straight multi-hit games earlier in May and has hit safely in four of the six games he's played in. It doesn't hurt that he's amassed a .554 wOBA over an admittedly small sample of 12 plate appearances against righties. Again, considering his price, you have little at risk and potentially much to gain elsewhere on a large slate.
FIRST BASE
John Jaso, PIT vs. ATL ($3,500): Jaso had his second multi-hit game over his last three Thursday night, scoring 22 fantasy points. He'll face off against Matt Wisler, who has allowed a .373 wOBA to left-handed bats over his career, and though he's been much stingier this year, it's notable that 12 of the 17 earned runs and three of the five homers he's yielded on the season have come to that handedness of hitter as well.
SECOND BASE
Daniel Murphy, WAS at MIA ($3,900): Murphy keeps rolling along, posting another multi-hit game Thursday and bringing his season average to .397. Nothing seems to throw this guy off his game, and so a lefty-on-lefty matchup like the one he'll draw against Justin Nicolino can be brushed off as well. Murphy has posted a .412 wOBA in 37 plate appearances against southpaws, and he continues to see plenty of RBI opportunities with Bryce Harper frequently on base in front of him.
THIRD BASE
Travis Shaw, BOS vs. CLE ($3,800): Shaw brings a productive history against Corey Kluber, who's been a bit erratic this season. The Red Sox touched up Kluber for nine hits and four earned runs in just over five innings in his first start of the season, and Shaw has slashed .500/.556/.875 over eight career at-bats against the Indians starter, along with a homer, RBI and walk. More importantly, he has an absurd .449 wOBA, .254 ISO and 33.3 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching, while Kluber has surrendered a .340 wOBA and 29.5 percent hard contact rate to lefty hitters this season.
SHORTSTOP
Carlos Correa, HOU vs. TEX ($4,300): Correa brings nice upside, as evidenced by four double-digit fantasy point outings over the last eight games. He's also battered Rangers starter Colby Lewis to the tune of a .444/.444/1.222 line over nine career at-bats, with a double, two homers and three RBI. He also has a .375 wOBA against right-handed pitching this year, and has hit all seven homers on the season off of that handedness. While Lewis has been tougher on righties than left-handed bats, he's given up five homers and a 36.1 percent hard contact rate to righties this year.
OUTFIELD
Curtis Granderson, NYM vs. MIL ($4,200): Granderson not only draws exploitable Brewers starter Wily Peralta, he also brings along a stellar resume against him. He's slashed .625/.667/1.625 in eight career at-bats against the righty, along with two doubles, two homers, two RBI and a walk. Peralta has been poor against both handedness of hitters this season, putting a Mets stack squarely in play, and he has given up a .391 wOBA to left-handed bats. Granderson has a .318 wOBA and five of his seven homers on the season against right-handed arms, and a .369 wOBA over his 12-plus major league seasons.
Stephen Piscotty, STL vs. ARI ($4,200): Piscotty's bat continues blazing hot, with his average up to .329 after having hit .600 (6-for-10) over the last two games alone. That's also the figure he's tallied against D-Backs starter Patrick Corbin over a small sample of five career at-bats. Piscotty has an incredible .505 wOBA and .300 ISO against southpaws this season, while Corbin has surrendered a .356 wOBA and eight of his nine homers on the season to right-handed hitters.
Brandon Drury, ARI at STL ($2,300): Much like Centeno, Drury represents some solid upside at a bargain cost and allows some flexibility elsewhere. He's been steady throughout the season and has posted a .393 wOBA and .242 ISO against right-handed pitching. The normally solid Carlos Martinez has had his share of troubles lately, and though a majority of those have come against lefty bats, Drury's own success against right-handers and the opportunity he opens up elsewhere makes him a value-based tournament option.
