PITCHER
Chris Archer, TB vs. KC ($10,100): It's strange to think of the Royals as an attack point, but the defending World Series champions have been on a downward spiral for most of the season and now rate as a bottom-10 team in the league according to wOBA. Archer has a good chance to take control of the Kansas City lineup, as they have the ninth-lowest runs above average score in the league against the slider, and walk just six percent of the time when facing right-handed pitching.
Kyle Hendricks, CHC vs. MIA ($9,700): Hendricks has done an excellent job missing the fat part of the bat this season, as his 25.2 percent hard-contact rate is the fifth-lowest mark among qualified pitchers. He will bring his 52 percent ground-ball rate into the matchup against the Marlins, who have the second lowest fly-ball percentage in the league this season (30 percent).
CATCHER
Brian McCann, NYY at NYM ($3,600): Opposing starter Logan Verrett has been far worse against right-handed hitters, but we can still look to exploit him with southpaws, as he has tallied a 4.34 xFIP against his opposite hand. McCann will look to take advantage of a favorable batted ball split when he brings his 47 percent fly-ball rate against Verrett's ground-ball tendencies.
FIRST BASE
Chris Carter, MIL at SD ($3,300):Jarred Cosart showed some life in his last start against the Phillies, but he has still kept an ERA approaching 6.00 over four starts, while tallying more walks than strikeouts. Cosart has been an extreme ground-ball pitcher his entire career, which should serve Carter and his 47 percent fly-ball rate quite well.
SECOND BASE
Neil Walker, NYM vs. NYY ($3,600): Walker is in the process of exploding out of a prolonged slump, having tallied 12 hits in his last 19 at-bats. He has a .234 ISO against left-handed pitching this season and will look to put his 45 percent fly-ball rate to use against CC Sabathia's heavy ground-ball profile.
THIRD BASE
Kris Bryant, CHC vs. MIA ($4,900):Adam Conley is an exciting young arm, but he has been squared up fairly well by right-handers, as evidenced by his 35 percent hard contact rate. Bryant absolutely slaughters left-handed pitching, having tallied a .322 ISO and a hard-contact rate of 43 percent.
SHORTSTOP
Danny Espinosa, WAS at ARI ($2,900): Espinosa has had a rough go of it since the All-Star break, but he still possesses enough power to take pitchers out of the ballpark, as he maintains a .165 ISO against right-handers. Archie Bradley has kept an xFIP over 5.00 against lefty hitters and will need to find a way to keep the ball on the ground, as Espinosa comes in with a fly-ball rate of 43 percent.
OUTFIELD
Bryce Harper, WAS at ARI ($4,700): Harper shares Espinosa's batted ball advantage over Bradley, but we can also rely on the reigning NL MVP's 4.5 runs above average mark against the curveball, as Bradley turns to the pitch nearly a quarter of the time. While Harper has slowed considerably after a fast start to the season, he still has a .215 ISO against right-handed pitching.
Franklin Gutierrez, SEA vs. BOS ($3,600): Gutierrez is the epitome of a platoon hitter, as his .379 wOBA against lefties tops his mark against same-handed pitchers by more than 100 points. Gutierrez should look to feast on a pitcher like Eduardo Rodriguez, who has allowed 11 homers to righties in just 38.1 innings.
Brandon Guyer, TB vs. KC ($3,300): We close with another specialist in Guyer, who has amassed a .338/.482/.585 slash line against southpaws over 65 at-bats. Danny Duffy has had issues with righties when it comes to the long ball, holding a 1.3/9 rate over 81.1 frames.
