PITCHER

Gio Gonzalez, WAS vs. ATL ($35): Solid since the All-Star break with a 5-1 record, 3.00 ERA and 42 punchouts over 51 innings through nine starts, Gonzalez presents nice value Tuesday. He grabs an excellent matchup as the Braves own a basement-dwelling .286 wOBA and 75 wRC+ against southpaws this year.

Luke Weaver, STL at PIT ($33): With a 29.2 strikeout percentage through his first four starts, Weaver is an intriguing low-priced flier Tuesday. He hasn't faced an admirable offense yet though, so this is well within risk/reward territory. The Pirates have struggled of late with a 25th-ranked .311 wOBA over the past 30 days.

CATCHER

Stephen Vogt, OAK vs. LAA ($10): A potential source of cap relief, Vogt has posted a solid .337 wOBA and 115 wRC+ against right-handed pitchers over the past two seasons. Ricky Nolasco doesn't check out as a strong matchup (.313 wOBA allowed to lefties this year) but he isn't an arm to fade, either.

FIRST BASE

Brandon Moss, STL vs. PIT ($15): In a bounce-back showing, Moss has posted a .336 ISO, .375 wOBA, 136 wRC+ and 42.3 hard-hit percentage against righties this season. Facing Ryan Vogelsong (.490 slugging percentage and .362 wOBA allowed to lefty bats over the past three seasons) makes Moss an excellent value play.

SECOND BASE

Devon Travis, TOR at NYY ($14): With a career .356 wOBA and 123 wRC+ against right-handed pitchers, Travis is a nice lean against Luis Cessa in his fourth career start. The rookie owns a 5.99 FIP, after all.

THIRD BASE

Matt Carpenter, STL at PIT ($12): The veteran has owned right-handed pitchers to the tune of a .395 wOBA, 149 wRC+ and 47.2 hard-hit percentage this year. It's a ripe matchup against Vogelsong, as noted, and Carpenter checks out at a nice discount Tuesday.

SHORTSTOP

Addison Russell, CHC at MIL ($17): Wily Peralta has been hammered by righty bats this season (.529 slugging percentage and .384 wOBA allowed) and Russell has a .511 slugging percentage and a .337 wOBA over the past 30 days. Expect him to be slightly underowned Tuesday because he doesn't fall into the traditional handedness advantage category.

OUTFIELD

Carlos Gonzalez, COL vs. SF ($16): This cap hit is too low for Gonzalez. He's posted a .423 wOBA and 149 wRC+ against right-handed pitchers at Coors Field this season and Jeff Samardzija has served up a .497 slugging percentage and .348 wOBA to left-handed hitters over the past two seasons.

Dexter Fowler, CHC at MIL ($13): With the day off Monday, look for Fowler to thrive in a plus matchup atop the lineup Tuesday. He's posted a .351 wOBA against right-handed hurlers this season and Peralta has allowed a .388 wOBA to left-handed batters.

Byron Buxton, MIN vs. KC ($11): Perhaps Buxton is a Shakespeare fan, or he just buys into the idiom, but he's 10-for-19 with eight runs, three doubles, three home runs and nine RBI since being recalled in September. All's well that ends well and at his current salary, he's an excellent flier. Dillon Gee isn't a daunting matchup, either. The righty has allowed a .335 wOBA to right-handed hitters this season.
