NFL Picks: Going Big On the Broncos

It was a mediocre week for the staff, which benefitted me as I went 10-4-1 and gained a little ground on Pianowski and Erickson. (Of course, I'd much prefer to do horribly myself and see the staff succeed as a whole - I am well known for being a team player.)

Unanimous/Majority Picks

This week we have five unanimous picks, the Bears, Giants, Browns, Chargers and Broncos. We went 1-1-1 on unanimous picks last week, winning with the Dolphins, losing with the Bears and pushing with the Texans to bring our season record to 12-9-1. We went 9-5-1 on majority (three or more writers) picks to bring our season record to 47-44-1.

Erickson	Once again, Brock Osweiler goes on the road to face an elite defense, and once again the line underestimates how poorly he'll fare against said defense. He's awful, and will be exposed once again... Is Ben Roethlisberger worth eight-plus points? That's what the line movement suggests, and in this case I think it's right - hate laying so many points on the road, but I think it's the right play.
Pianowski	Oakland is a flawed team in some ways, but I still see it as a quality team. I refuse to believe in the Jaguars until someone makes me. Blake Bortles is ruining what could be a decent offense.
Liss	I love fading the Saints on the road, especially outdoors on grass. I was also surprised how big the line was in Bears-Packers. Somehow they get so much respect while the Vikings do not.
Stopa	Denver is in an ideal bounce-back spot; I expect Brock to cooperate... Russell Wilson needs to get healthy before I pick Seattle on the road... With all the negative press on the Jets, they have to be the right side... I like over 49 points in Detroit. The Lions D is atrocious, and Washington's offensive line is good; the Skins should go off.
Del Don	Brock Osweiler is going to be badly overmatched during his return to Denver, as the Broncos bounce back in a dominant win.
