PITCHER
Michael Fulmer, DET at TB ($8,900): The sophomore has picked up where he left off after turning in a standout rookie campaign in 2016. Fulmer sports a career 3.00 ERA and 20.6 strikeout percentage, but has shown improvement in the punchouts column with 11 through 12 innings this year. Tampa Bay sets up as a favorable matchup with a middling .315 wOBA and target-worthy 24.8 strikeout percentage against right-handed arms since the beginning of last season.
Shelby Miller, ARI at SD ($7,500): With his velocity back up in the mid-90s, Miller is an attractive low-priced flier. While he is an obvious risk, the 26-year-old righty has a 23.1 strikeout percentage with 12 punchouts through 10.2 innings to start the year, and he also has a lengthy track record of success before last season's struggles. Facing San Diego is perhaps the biggest plus for Miller, though. The Friars have posted the worst wOBA (.297) and second-highest strikeout percentage (24.8) in the league against righties dating back to last season.
CATCHER
J.T. Realmuto, MIA at SEA ($3,200): While the backstop doesn't boast the traditional handedness advantage against Yovani Gallardo, the matchup hits. The veteran hurler has allowed a .352 wOBA to righty bats dating back to last season, and Realmuto posted a .348 wOBA against right-handed arms last year. Additionally, Realmuto should return to batting second Tuesday.
FIRST BASE
Carlos Santana, CLE at MIN ($4,400): Dating back to last season, Phil Hughes has allowed a 37.5 hard-hit percentage and .385 wOBA to left-handed hitters, so this is a soft matchup for Santana. The first baseman has handled righties quite well with a 39.2 hard-hit percentage and .384 wOBA since the beginning of 2016.
SECOND BASE
Dee Gordon, MIA at SEA ($3,800): Opposing starter Yovani Gallardo has also struggled against left-handed hitters and surrendered a .380 on-base percentage and .353 wOBA to lefties. Gordon's caught fire of late and entered Monday's game with a hit in 10 of 11 games and a .373 on-base percentage. The big upside with Gordon is obviously his speed, and Mike Zunino has thrown out just 29 percent of attempted stolen bases during his career.
THIRD BASE
Manny Machado, BAL at CIN ($4,900):Bronson Arroyo has allowed 11 runs and four home runs through his first two starts this season, which are also his first since the 2014 campaign. Machado lines up nicely with a .241 ISO and .369 wOBA against right-handed arms dating back to 2015. There is a risk that he's a popular target, though.
SHORTSTOP
Corey Seager, LAD vs. COL ($4,400): With a hit in 11 of 13 games, Seager continues to be one of the most reliable daily options available, and especially from a shallow position. He sports a .959 OPS and .405 wOBA against right-handed hurlers since entering the league, too. This will also be the second time in three starts Kyle Freeland will face the Dodgers, and the rookie is unlikely to limit them to a single run this time around.
OUTFIELD
Ryan Braun, MIL vs. CHC ($4,600): Typically, it's a fool's errand to overate a player's performance against a particular team, but Braun's .335/.410/.586 career slash line and 30 home runs over 602 plate appearances against the Cubs certainly stands out. He's also hammered left-handed arms with a .417 wOBA since the beginning of the 2015 campaign. Brett Anderson has surrendered 1.31 HR/9 with a 21.0 HR/FB mark to right-handed hitters since 2015, too.
Mark Trumbo, BAL at CIN ($4,600): Another slugger to consider against the pitching machine known as Bronson Arroyo, Trumbo posted a .300 ISO, .391 wOBA and hit 37 of his 47 home runs against righties last year. Additionally, Trumbo has just three extra-base hits this season, so positive regression in the power department looms for opposing hurlers.
Nelson Cruz, SEA vs. MIA ($4,300): This is a soft price for Cruz. He's posted a sterling 1.060 OPS, .335 ISO and .437 wOBA against southpaws dating back to 2015, after all. Wei-Yin Chen has also allowed a 1.7 HR/9 and .345 wOBA to right-handed hitters during the same timeframe, so it isn't a daunting matchup.
