PITCHER
Dallas Keuchel, HOU at TEX ($21,300): For those that can't quite afford Clayton Kershaw ($25,500) or Stephen Strasburg ($23,200), Keuchel makes for an intriguing pivot. The Rangers have struck out at a 25.4 percent clip versus southpaws and mustered just a .289 wOBA against that handedness as well. Keuchel racked up eight strikeouts and 27.90 fantasy points versus the Orioles in his return from the disabled list last Saturday, and he's scored between 24.75 and 34.25 fantasy points in six other starts this season. He also has the added benefit of a red-hot offense that gives him a better chance at a win, even in a tough pitching matchup against Yu Darvish.
German Marquez, COL at SD ($14,400): Marquez could be one of the night's better pitching value plays, considering his matchup against a Padres offense that's mustered a .289 wOBA and struck out at a 22.5 percent clip versus righties at Petco Park. Marquez brings some solid strikeout upside and has parlayed that into two games of more than 20 fantasy points and one over 30 after a rough first start of the season. He's also been excellent on the road, generating a 1.06 ERA and allowing a .281 wOBA over 17.0 frames outside of Coors Field.
INFIELD
Joey Votto, CIN vs. ATL ($10,200): Votto is coming off a torrid month of May when he posted a .441 wOBA, 12.7 wRAA, 175 wRC+ and 38.0 percent hard contact rate. What's more, his walk rate rose to a robust 22.4 percent, making him a constant presence on the base paths. He draws a matchup Friday that could well get his June off to a similar start, as Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz has surrendered a .379 wOBA to left-handed hitters, along with a 24.7 percent line drive rate and 34.3 percent hard contact rate. Votto boasts a .464 wOBA at home, including a .447 wOBA, .283 ISO, 28.1 percent line drive rate and 42.1 percent hard contact rate against righties there.
Matt Holliday, NYY at TOR ($8,100): Holliday has punished returning Blue Jays starter Francisco Liriano for a .344 average, two doubles, two homers and seven RBI over 36 career plate appearances, and also boasts a .419 wOBA and .256 ISO versus southpaws. He's hit them even harder on the road as well, as evidenced by a 27.3 percent line drive rate and 45.5 percent hard contact rate, and owns a .398 wOBA and .263 ISO over his last 10 games. Liriano has surrendered a .392 wOBA, 6.00 xFIP and 2.15 WHIP to right-handed hitters, while the Toronto bullpen has posted a 4.17 ERA and given up 16 homers to righty bats.
Brandon Crawford, SF at PHI ($6,000): While Crawford and the rest of the Giants offense has underwhelmed all season, his bargain price and matchup make him worthy of a tournament flier Friday. Phillies starter Jerad Eickhoff has been touched up by lefty bats for a .358 wOBA, six homers, 22.4 percent line drive rate and 32.4 percent hard contact, while also giving up a .370 wOBA over five May starts. While Crawford has actually been better against southpaws, he's hit righties harder, posting a 22.0 percent line drive rate and 40.2 percent hard contact rate, with the latter figure rising to 44.2 percent when facing them on the road. He also started to make much better contact in May, boasting a 25.0 percent line drive rate and 42.3 percent in his 74 plate appearances during the month. The Phillies bullpen provides one more reason for optimism, as they've surrendered a .321 wOBA and 13 homers to lefty bats.
OUTFIELD
George Springer, HOU at TEX ($9,600): Springer has been one of baseball's hottest hitters, boasting a .426 wOBA, .273 ISO, four homers and 12 RBI over the 52 plate appearances encompassing his last 11 games. That helps make him a solid play despite a tough matchup against Darvish, whom he's posted a .417 average and two homers against in 12 career at-bats. Springer also boasts a .339 wOBA, .211 ISO and 41.0 percent hard contact rate versus right-handers on the road, while Darvish has surrendered a 23.5 percent line drive rate and 35.3 percent hard contact rate to righty bats at home. If the red-hot Astros can get him out of the game fairly early, then the disheveled Rangers bullpen provides more reason for optimism, as they've yielded a 4.50 ERA, .325 wOBA and 11 homers to right-handed hitters.
Matt Kemp, ATL at CIN ($9,000): Kemp has touched up Reds starter Bronson Arroyo for a .429 average and two homers over 30 career plate appearances, and owns a .491 wOBA and 34.2 percent hard contact rate versus right-handed pitching on the road. Arroyo has given up a .396 wOBA to right-handed hitters at Great American Ballpark, along with a 28.6 percent line drive rate and 45.6 percent hard contact rate.
Brandon Moss, KC vs. CLE ($6,800): Moss takes on his old Indians teammates and faces an erratic right-hander in Josh Tomlin, who despite turning in some strong outings, has given up a .357 wOBA and 26.7 percent line drive rate to right-handed hitters. Moss has struggled to hit for average against righties but has blasted seven of his nine homers on the season against them, and he also comes off a month of May when he generated a .324 wOBA, .305 ISO and 36.8 percent hard contact rate over 64 plate appearances.
UTILITY
Michael Conforto, NYM vs. PIT ($9,200): Conforto has enjoyed a breakout season and sports a .418 wOBA against righties that rises to .427 when facing them at Citi Field. He's pounded that handedness for a 24.0 percent line drive rate and 46.2 percent hard contact rate overall as well, while Pirates starter Gerrit Cole has given up a 4.67 ERA and .354 wOBA in 34.2 innings away from pitcher-friendly PNC Park. He's also yielded a .394 wOBA, four homers and a 38.9 percent hard contact rate to left-handed hitters on the road, and Pirates relievers have surrendered a .340 wOBA to lefty bats as well.
Giancarlo Stanton, MIA vs. ARI ($9,200): Stanton takes aim at D-Backs southpaw Patrick Corbin, who's given up a .383 wOBA to right-handed hitters, including a whopping .480 on the road. He's yielded 10 homers and a 38.0 percent hard contact rate to that handedness overall, while Stanton owns a .466 wOBA versus southpaws at Marlins Park. He's also coming off an excellent May in which he mustered a .385 wOBA, .280 ISO, seven homers and a 33.3 percent hard contact rate. The D-Backs bullpen makes for a nice target as well, considering they've yielded 16 homers to right-handed hitters, including nine in May alone.
