2024 Fantasy Outlook
Muzziotti made his big-league debut in 2022 and didn't spend any time in the majors in 2023, so from that perspective, his season represented a step back. A fair evaluation would be much more mixed. Muzziotti's big-league debut at the start of 2022 wasn't a reflection of his own readiness but rather due to the Phillies' sudden injury crisis in center field. He'd only played eight games at Triple-A before that and had only played 20 total professional games over the previous two seasons due to the pandemic. After his ahead-of-schedule cup of coffee, he spent most of 2022 at Double-A - or rather, he spent most of it dealing with hamstring and knee injuries, playing 55 total games between the majors and minors. With that context, Muzziotti's 2023 campaign can be understood as a refreshingly boring one. He spent all of it as a 24-year-old in Triple-A, remaining healthy for 124 largely unremarkable games. He didn't hit the ball with much authority, homering just seven times, but he struck out just 15.5% of the time, helping him to a .296 batting average, and added 26 steals. He should push for a return to the majors at some point in 2024, but it will likely be in a bench capacity. Read Past Outlooks
