ANALYSIS
Pressey spent the 2017-18 campaign with FC Barcelona, where he played in a combined 43 games between the Spanish ACB League and EuroLeague. He finished with averages of 4.5 points, 1.9 assists and 1.2 rebounds across 11.4 minutes, while shooting 38 percent from the field and a brutal 25.9 percent from deep. After receiving little to no interest from NBA teams this offseason, Pressey will once again play overseas and should slot in as a backcourt rotational piece with Besiktas.

2013
After his play in the 2013 Orlando Summer League resulted in a multi-year contract with the Celtics, Pressey took the floor 75 times, including 11 starts, in coach Brad Stevens' first go-around in the professional ranks. Pressey's usage diminished in 2014-15, though, as he scattered 50 appearances across the slate. Showing general improvement, despite the lack of playing time, he averaged 3.5 points (on 37 percent shooting), 2.3 assists, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.6 steals in 12 minutes last season, but he was jettisoned in July due to a roster pinch. Pressey quickly found a home in Portland, however temporary it may be, as he'll aim to turn a non-guaranteed contract into a permanent gig during a training-camp competition with Tim Frazier.
Pressey earned a roster spot, and a multi-year contract, coming out of the 2013 summer league and provided some ball-handling insurance when the Celtics began the season without point guard Rajon Rondo. Despite the need for handlers, Pressey was an end-of-the-bench guy early on and never really mattered until Boston traded Jordan Crawford in January. Pressey proved to be capable at running an offense and ended up playing 75 games (11 starts). He averaged 2.8 points, 1.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.1 blocks in 15 minutes per game. The obvious flaw in his game is shooting. Though he improved over the course of the season, Pressey made just 31 percent of his attempts and followed that up with a 32-percent accuracy rate in the most recent summer league. Teams will lay off him, putting pressure on him to hit jumpers more consistently. Pressey has guaranteed money this season, but the addition of Marcus Smart negatively impacts his playing time, not to mention the impact a healthy Rondo will have on Pressey's minutes.
Pressey left Missouri after his junior year to test the NBA waters and then went undrafted. He joined the Celtics for summer league play in July, averaging 9.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 2.0 steals. He demonstrated intriguing skills. Rondo's delayed return (expect a winter return) could give Pressey a very rare opportunity to go from being an undrafted rookie to an NBA starter in a matter of months. Early on, he'll compete with Avery Bradley for point guard minutes.
