Justin Reed

He's a reserve with the T-Wolves after coming over from Boston in the Wally Szczerbiak trade. He's not enough of a rebounder to earn minutes in the front court and not enough of a scorer to get playing time over the glut of guards and small forwards on the roster. He's viewed as a "hustle" player who can come in and provide a spark. That won't translate into enough minutes for viable fantasy value in most leagues, but there is an outside shot he gets more minutes as the other forward next to Kevin Garnett when three guards are on the court if Mark Blount or Eddie Griffin fall out of favor.

Coach Doc Rivers has talked this offseason, on more than one occasion, about Reed’s progression and his thoughts on getting Reed more minutes. He was very good over the summer, scoring 11.7 points in 20.3 minutes in the Las Vegas Summer League. Look for Reed’s minutes to improve dramatically.
