Adonis Thomas

Thomas has played six total games in the NBA, and those were with the Magic and Sixers in the 2013-14 season. To try and get himself recognized, Thomas played for the Pistons' D-League team last season, averaging 18.9 points, 2.4 three-pointers, 4.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.2 blocks in 36 minutes per game while shooting 43 percent from the field, 37 percent from three, and 86 percent from the line. Stan Van Gundy took notice and signed Thomas to a partially-guaranteed, two-year deal this summer. Thomas will compete in the Pistons' training camp and preseason for a role on the team. The Pistons already have 15 players on guaranteed contracts, so Thomas' chance of making the team looks slim right now, but the Pistons have assured him that anything could happen to open a spot, whether that be a trade or an injury. If Thomas does make the team, he'd likely be insurance and an investment for the future to see if he could be a role player in the NBA moving forward.
