FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Living in New York, I should be happy that it appears we have finally turned the corner on a truly horrible winter. Not only is it nice to enjoy the extra hour of sun, but it was actually over 40 degrees today. However, in the back of my mind is the sickening thought that the end of the NBA regular season is approaching.
Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic about the change in weather, but how will I ever survive without playing NBA FanDuel every night? For now, I'll try to live in the moment and enjoy a six-game NBA slate Tuesday. Here are some FanDuel bargains to consider when shaping your lineup.

Point Guard
Tony Parker, SAN, $5,800: Don't look now, but Parker and the Spurs are finally starting to get healthy. Parker torched the Bulls Sunday for 32 points in 30 minutes. He played 36 minutes in his previous game against the Nuggets, which is a good sign as the playoffs approach. Fantasy participants have been treated to 41.1 and 42.8 FanDuel points from Parker in those two games and he has another favorable matchup against the Raptors on Tuesday. Look for him to provide solid value at a cheap price once again.

Trey Burke, UTA, $5,600: I like Burke Tuesday, mainly because he is going up against the Knicks, a team that gave up 106 points to the lowly Nuggets on Monday and didn't look to have much heart. Burke has scored at least 16 points in six of his last 10 games, leading to five games over that stretch with at least 25.2 FanDuel points. The price is right Tuesday to take a chance on Burke.

Shooting Guard
J.R. Smith, CLE, $5,600: Smith is playing a lot for the Cavaliers, as he has logged at least 30 minutes in six of his last seven games. Although he is known for his offense, Smith has actually averaged 6.6 rebounds over his last five games. He could be guarded by Monte Ellis for a good chunk of his playing time Tuesday, so he isn't exactly going up against a defensive stalwart on the perimeter. Tuesday could be a big night for Smith.

Rodney Stuckey, IND, $5,500: Stuckey is certainly a streaky player, but he is on a bit of a hot streak right now as he has scored at least 26.9 FanDuel points in six of his last eight games. One added reason for his success is he has dished out at least four assists in seven of his last eight games. Tuesday brings a favorable matchup against a porous Magic defense, leaving Stuckey as a nice option.

Small Forward
Gordon Hayward, UTA, $7,800: Hayward is certainly not a cheap option Tuesday, but he is a very promising play considering he is playing against the Knicks' terrible defense. Not only are the Knicks struggling, but Hayward is playing well of late, as he is averaging 20.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.8 steals over his last four games. He has scored at least 36.5 FanDuel points in three of his last four games and should be well worth his price tag Tuesday.

Power Forward
Derrick Favors, UTA, $7,600: Like Hayward, Favors isn't exactly listed at a clearance price. However, he should be able to wear out the Knicks interior Tuesday. He has been one of the more consistent FanDuel options, while posting at least 30.5 points in eight of his last nine games. One of the main reasons he has been so consistent is his contributions on the defensive end, as he is averaging 1.4 steals and 1.6 blocks over those nine games. Favors should be in store for a big night.

Andrea Bargnani, NYK, $5,600: On the surface, this might not look like a good matchup Tuesday against a tough Jazz defense. However, the Knicks played a tough Pacers squad twice in their last three games and Bargnani responded with 37.8 and 28.0 FanDuel points in those two games. He is one the Knicks best offensive threats and he has responded with at least 19 points in four of his last six games. Look for him to get plenty of opportunities to contribute in a big way again Tuesday.

Center
Timofey Mozgov, CLE, $5,200: Mozgov's recent numbers don't look overly promising as he has scored 18.0 FanDuel points or less in three of his last five games. However, if you are looking to go the cheap route at center Tuesday, I think Mozgov should be your man against the Mavericks. Tyson Chandler hasn't been the same of late, as he only has 11 rebounds and one block in his last two games and has failed to block a shot in three of his last six games. Mozgov might not be able to put up one of the best lines of the night, but he could put up very solid production considering his price.
