FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Tuesday night brings six games of NBA action, but the only really intriguing matchup is the Hawks against the Cavaliers. However, even a fairly dull night of matchups can be exciting when you're playing FanDuel. Here are some of the better plays to consider when filling out your lineup.

Guards

Damian Lillard, POR vs PHO ($9,800): I'm a big Lillard fan and tend to have him in my lineup on most nights when he plays. He is averaging 45.3 FanDuel points per game this season as the main man in Portland. He had a nice first showing against the Suns this season when he posted 40.5 FanDuel points less than a week ago, so I'd look for him to match or exceed that again Tuesday.

J.J. Barea, DAL at LAL ($5,700):Deron Williams (calf) is listed as doubtful for this contest, likely leaving Barea with another opportunity to pay extended minutes. Barea came through in a big way Sunday against the Bucks when he finished with 33.7 FanDuel points. Look for another big performance from him Tuesday, especially considering his price tag.

Sean Kilpatrick, BKN vs MIN ($4,900): Kilpatrick has played at least 28 minutes in each of his last two games as the Nets have dealt with injuries, resulting in at least 31.8 FanDuel points in both contests. Jeremy Lin (hamstring) is going to be out again Tuesday, so I'm running with Kilpatrick at this discount price.

Forwards

LeBron James, CLE vs ATL ($9,900): James is off to an excellent start to the season and has been especially hot of late by posting at least 54.6 FanDuel points in both of his last two contests. It's hard to make an argument against using him really as his average of 47.8 FanDuel points per game this season makes him one of the safer expensive options to play. I like him at home in this game against the Hawks on Tuesday.
Harrison Barnes, DAL at LAL ($5,700): Barnes exploded Sunday against the Bucks as he scored 34 points and finished with 49.6 FanDuel points, overall. The Mavericks really need him to produce with Dirk Nowitzki (Achilles) out again Tuesday and their overall lack of depth on the roster. The Lakers are no defensive juggernaut, so I'm inclined to play Barnes at this price.

JaMychal Green, MEM vs DEN ($4,400): If you want to give a cheap player a shot at power forward Tuesday, Green seems like a good option. The Nuggets have a big frontcourt, so the Grizzlies are going to need a big performance out of Green. He's averaging 18.8 FanDuel points a game this season, but I think he has a chance to record 20 or more FanDuel points in this contest.

Centers

Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN at BKN ($8,700): Towns is hot of late, scoring at least 32 points in each of his last two games. The Timberwolves are leaning on him heavily this year and he has yet to disappoint DFS players as he has averaged 38.7 FanDuel points a game so far. The Nets are not a good basketball team, so look for Towns to have another big performance Tuesday.

Jusuf Nurkic, DEN at MEM ($5,800): Nurkic is one of my favorite mid-tier centers to use this season as he is averaging 31.2 FanDuel points per game. Not only can he score and rebound, but he is also a defensive powerhouse as he has eight blocks and five steals over his last three games. I think he will be productive again in this contest against the Grizzlies.

Tyson Chandler, PHO at POR ($4,800): Don't look now, but Chandler is starting to heat up as he is averaging 9.0 points and 16.0 rebounds over his last three games. He's played at least 28 minutes and come away with at least 26.4 FanDuel points in all three of those contests. If you are looking to save some money at center Tuesday, Chandler might be worth a shot.
