FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

There are four games on day two of the playoffs Sunday, but they are spread throughout the day from starting at 1:00 PM ET to starting at 9:00 PM ET. For their "Main" contest schedule, FanDuel chose the three games starting at 3:30 PM ET. The article below will focus on those three games, starting with Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum leading the Trail Blazers into Oakland to face Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and the Warriors. The Warriors have dominated them this season, but the Trail Blazers gave them a run last postseason and will try to do so again. In the late game, MVP frontrunners Russell Westbrook and James Harden face off in the matchup of the day…

James Harden, HOU vs OKC ($12,000): This spot could very easily have gone to Westbrook, who outperformed Harden in their four head-to-head games this season. But Harden finished the season on a tear, scoring between 58.4 and 63 fantasy points in each of the last four full games. He's also playing at home and is $1500 cheaper.

Isaiah Thomas, BOS vs CHI ($8200): Thomas is listed as a game-time decision (personal), but is expected to play. Playing through such terrible personal tragedy makes Thomas a high-variance proposition for Sunday. Thomas could be distracted, but he's still worthy of consideration given the high stakes of the playoffs and his production this season.

Victor Oladipo, OKC at HOU ($5500): Oladipo has performed well against the Rockets this season, averaging 18.3 points, 7.0 boards, 3.0 assists and 1.3 steals in four games.

Kevin Durant, GS vs POR ($9800): Durant recently returned from his long injury absence, and seemed to work his way back up to full strength over the three games. He has been dominant in four games against the Trail Blazers this season, averaging 29.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists.

Draymond Green, GS vs POR ($6800): Green is a triple-double threat every game. In four games against the Trail Blazers this year, he averaged 9.5 assists with 8.3 rebounds, 5.8 points, 2.3 steals and 1.3 blocks in only 30.5 minutes per game.

Andre Roberson, OKC at HOU ($3800): Roberson finished the season strong, producing between 20 and 28 fantasy points in eight of his last 10 full games. He has played well against the Rockets this year too, averaging 8.8 points with 7.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks in four games.

Jusuf Nurkic, POR at GS ($7500): Nurkic is a game-time decision as he tries to recover from a broken fibula. He is in this slot by default, as there is a lot of mystery as to whether he'll play at all, and if he does, what he'll look like. But, if he does play and quickly knock off the rust (two big ifs), maybe he can find some of the form that allowed him to produce between 30.5 and 57 fantasy points in nine straight games before he got hurt.

Clint Capela, HOU vs OKC ($5800): Capela scored between 22.4 and 32.8 fantasy points in 10 straight games, then topped that with a 43 fantasy-point explosion in the season finale against the Timberwolves. On Sunday, he faces a Thunder squad that he averaged 12.3 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks against in three games this season.

Steven Adams, OKC at HOU ($4700): Adams finished the regular season well, scoring between 25 and 29 fantasy points in his last three full games. He has also played well against the Rockets this year, averaging 12.3 points with 7.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals in four games.
