| The Pistons hired Curry to be their head coach, the Detroit Free Press reports. Curry will sign a three-year deal, reportedly worth $2.5 million per year. |

| Pistons team president Joe Dumars promised a major change to the core of the lineup during the offseason, the Detroit Free Press reports. "I'll make a significant trade," Dumars, the Pistons' president of basketball operations, declared. "... We have a core group of guys here that for the first time in six years I'm letting teams in the league know I'll do a deal. ... I'm open for business." The Pistons could easily trade Rasheed Wallace, whose contract expires after next season. And who didn't notice Rodney Stuckey looking like a player in this league during the Boston series. Perhaps Chauncey Billups (three guaranteed years, $36 million) could he had. |
