Rondo (back) played 19 minutes in the Kings' exhibition opener Monday against the Trail Blazers. He finished with five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 FT) and contributed five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Collison, whose past season ended in March after he underwent core muscle surgery, said that he's 100 percent recovered and feels his healthiest in years, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports. "This injury was something I had since my Indiana years," Collison said. "This is going back three or four years ago. My doctor said I should have had surgery back then, but I just happened to have it [last March]. I've actually been playing hurt the last three years, I just didn't know it."
Casspi (illness), after missing a couple tune-up games last month, has emerged as Isreal's best player at EuroBasket, averaging 18.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 1.4 three-pointers in 33 minutes per game through seven contests.
