NHL Playoff Observations: Two More Down

Just a few things that caught my eye:

  • Three. That's goals. As in scored by Chicago/allowed by Pekka Rinne. I'm not sure which one I hate more. My playoff pool is shot.
  • Hey -- has anyone seen Max Pacioretty? Thought not.

  • 0.70 and .976. Yup, Pekka Rinne stole the series.
  • Hands up if you thought the Ryan Johansen - Filip Forsberg - Viktor Arvidsson line would be the best one in the series. I thought not.
  • Scott Wilson, you're my hero. That no-look backhand goal? Cha-ching!
  • Don Cherry was right Thursday -- neither Freddie Andersen nor Braden Holtby could stop a beachball. Yikes.
  • Columbus' top-four scorers = 12 points. Pittsburgh's? 32.
  • So, will P.K. Subban get further in the playoffs as a Pred than he did as a Hab? Hmmmm ...
  • I used to like Tim McGraw. But I got real tired of hearing, "I like it, I love it, I want more of it" when the Preds scored. I'm just sore because my Hawks got swept.
  • I'm going to miss reading John Tortorella's lips. I really am.
  • Terry Pegula created the mess in Buffalo. Jack Eichel seems to have put the final nail in the coffin. Dan Bylsma didn't deserve his fate today.
