Zito signs a seven-year, $126-million contract, with an option for an eighth year at $18 million, with the Giants. With rumors of a seven-year, $100 million offer expected to be enough to sign him, I guess Zito should be extremely thankful that he is a lefty and that Scott Boras is his agent. With an aging team around him and not many top shelf prospects coming up the pipeline for SF, how long before Zito thinks he made a mistake staying by the Bay or will it be the Giants who think they overpaid when they realize that Zito is not a true ace but more of a #2 starter?
